Agony of Defeat is a high energy group based out of Central Iowa. Blending the styles of Alternative, Hip Hop, and Funk Core with malicious grooves, AoD has rocked the stage with acts such as Sevendust, Powerman5000, Nonpoint, Mushroomhead, Hed (PE), and the Kottonmouth Kings.

Boasting collaborations with Sid Wilson of SlipKnot, Jahred of Hed (PE), and DJ Bobby B. of the Kottonmouth Kings, AoD  continues to push their sound with like-minded heavy hitters.
In 2024, Agony Of Defeat was nominated for 'Best Rock Band' by the Iowa Music Awards.
